A new ice cream game, and an easier way to find a favourite.
New
Stack It Right: an animal shows the ice cream it wants, and your child builds it from the bottom up, then adds chocolate sauce or sprinkles. Low keeps the order in view. High hides it after a few seconds, so it has to be remembered.
Changed
Every game on the homepage now shows a little picture of what you do in it, so children can spot their favourites without reading.
Each game has its own animal that no other game uses: the frog crosses the stepping stones, the hippo floats in the bubbles, the monkey runs the ice cream shop.
v1.6
Two new counting games at the ice cream counter.
New
Ice Cream Scoop Count: each animal shows how many scoops of ice cream it wants, and your child drags that many onto its cone. When a cone is full the animal hops and makes its sound. Low has two animals wanting up to three scoops each, with dotted spaces to count into. High has three animals wanting up to four, and no dotted spaces.
Ice Cream Shop: an animal hands over some £1 coins, and your child gives it one scoop of ice cream for every coin, then taps the tick. The right number earns a big smile and the animal's own sound. The wrong number gets a sad face, and the top scoop can be tapped to put it back. Low has one to three coins. High has two to six, with more spare scoops to choose from.
v1.5
A new ending for every game: an animal comes out to celebrate.
New
When a game is finished, one of the animals now arrives to celebrate. The elephant flies in on a rocket, the monkey swings in on vines, the rabbit bounces on a trampoline, and each of the 29 animals has its own.
Every animal takes a turn before any comes round again, so there is a different one to look forward to each time.
Changed
The results screen no longer shows the star count. Stars are still collected during the game.
v1.4
Four new games: two jigsaw puzzles, a counting game and a letters game.
New
Wild Jigsaw: an animal's picture is cut into pieces, and your child drags each one back onto its shape. The pieces are cut differently every time.
Halloween Jigsaw: the same puzzle with the ghost, the pumpkin and friends, and the animals in their Halloween costumes.
In both, a finished animal makes its own sound.
Stepping Stones: five stones cross a pond and one has lost its number. Tap the lily pad with the missing number and an animal hops across. Low counts up to 10. High counts backwards, or in twos, up to 20.
Big Letter, Little Letter: a big letter appears and your child finds the little letter that goes with it. The animal that pops out starts with that letter and makes its sound. High puts look-alike letters side by side, and sometimes asks for the big letter instead.
Fixed
Peekaboo Pop: if you switch away from the game, the animals now wait for you instead of popping up and hiding unseen.
Pop the Bubbles: the bubbles stay on screen when a tablet is turned mid-game.
Small phones: the top bar, the cards in Match the Pair and the clock in Tell the Time now fit the narrowest screens, so nothing is cut off at the edge.
v1.3
The animals have found their voices.
New
Every animal now has its own soft sound. You hear it when your child finds, catches or frees that animal.
Pick the Letter and First Letter: the animal that pops up makes its sound.
Peekaboo Pop and Pop the Bubbles: the animal you catch makes its sound.
A new Animal sounds switch in the Grown-ups area of those games, if you would rather keep just the chimes.
v1.2.2
A new, more detailed look for every animal.
Changed
Every animal has been redrawn in a storybook style, with more detail and more character.
The Christmas and Halloween characters and all of the outfits have been redrawn to match.
The rabbit in the logo and the app icon has the new look too.
v1.2.1
A short introduction for parents on the homepage.
New
The homepage now ends with a few lines for grown-ups about what Little Meadow is and who made it.
v1.2
Three new games, and two new kinds of play: coordination and memory.
New
Peekaboo Pop: animals pop up out of their holes. Tap each one before it hides again.
Pop the Bubbles: bubbles float up with an animal inside. Tap each one to pop it before it floats away.
Copy the Pattern: the animals light up one after another. Watch, then tap them in the same order.
Two new focuses on the homepage: Coordination and Memory.
Removed
Find My Baby has been taken off the site.
v1.1
A new game, more variety in two others, and a round of fixes for small phones.
New
Biggest to Smallest: a new game about putting animals in order of size.
A third button on every results screen takes you back to all the games.
Hold a phone sideways and the games ask you to turn it upright.
Changed
Tell the Time: letting go of a hand in the wrong place no longer circles the answer or moves the hand for you.
Shape Builder: 36 pictures, up from 9, with new shapes including stars, hearts, diamonds, ovals, pentagons and hexagons.
Shape Builder: every picture now comes up once before any is repeated.
Sort and Switch and Halloween Sort and Switch: the characters and clothes now change every few cards.
Fixed
On smaller phones the start screens now fit: the rounds and difficulty controls, the All games link and the Grown-ups button can all be pressed.
Pick the Letter: the big letter no longer overlaps the answers on small phones.
Count the Animals: the animals are bigger on small phones.
Match the Pair and Christmas Match the Pairs: all eight cards now fit on small phones.
Presses near the edge of a button or card are no longer missed.
Play again now starts the star count from nothing.
v1.0
Little Meadow opens with twelve games.
New
Letters: Pick the Letter and First Letter.
Numbers: Count the Animals, Add Them Up and Tell the Time.
Puzzles: Shape Builder, Match the Pair, Find My Baby, Odd One Out and Sort and Switch.
Seasonal games: Christmas Match the Pairs and Halloween Sort and Switch.
A homepage that filters the games by age, focus and theme.
Every game is voice-free, with gentle sounds, helpful hints after a miss and no way to lose.
A Grown-ups button in each game for sound and Night colours.
